Robbery Incident and Arrest of Suspect in Tambulig


TAMBULIG, Zamboanga del Sur (June 15, 2018) – Tambulig Municipal Police Station (MPS) arrested the suspect of robbery on June 12, 2018 at about 2:00 PM in Calolot Mountain Resort situated at Purok 2, Barangay Calolot in Tambulig municipality, of this province.  

A certain Teresito Espinosa Siete Jr. reported to Tambulig MPS informing that his Three (3) unit Cell Phone (2 unit-OPPO 837 and 1 unit-ZH&K) was allegedly lost/missing inside his bag while being placed at their rented cottage inside Calolot Mountain Resort situated at Purok 2, Barangay Calolot, Tambulig, Zamboanga del Sur.

The PNP Operatives of Tambulig MPS immediately proceeded to the reported place of incident to conduct ocular inspection and investigation.

That while the Investigator-On-Case SPO1 Onyx Neri Dela Cruz Jr. is on the process of conducting thorough investigation and also the owner Teresito Espinosa Siete Jr. exerted utmost effort to have a contact on his lost/missing cellular phone by dialing his numbers several times using the cellular phone of his cousin. Fortunately, the unidentified suspect answered the call and then demanded a money amounting Two Thousand Five Hundred Pesos (P2,500.00) in exchange of the above-mentioned cellular phones.

PNP personnel of Tambulig MPS conducted an entrapment operation at Barangay Dipolo in the municipality of Molave of this province where the suspect gave the venue. At about 5:20pm of same day, the suspect was arrested. The suspect identified as Leonardo Goc-Ong Palacio, 29 years old, with live-in partner and a resident of Barangay Dipolo, Molave.

The police operatives recovered from the position and control of the suspect were the following: a) Three (3) unit Cellular Phone (2 unit-OPPO 837 and 1 unit-ZH&K); and b) 2,000.00 peso bill registered as entrapment money bearing serial numbers-TS037295 and SK502874).

Arrested suspect is temporary detained at Tambulig MPS detention cell while an appropriate charges against him is now being prepared for filing in court. (By JONG CADION)
